    Seniors:  Please purchase your senior breakfast before May 15.  Tickets are $25 cash and can be purchased from Mrs. Mahmoud at 7:45 am or after school in room 146A or during 5A lunch in the Commons.  Please note that you will not be able to purchase a ticket until you clear all financial obligations to the school.  Also, please remember to upload your baby pictures, future plans, quotes and memories to the Senior Classroom by May 14.

    Guidance

    A representative from visiting universities/colleges will meet in the Commons. Juniors and Seniors interested in attending these meetings should sign up through Naviance. Please remember to check in with your teacher first. List with all upcoming visits will be posted in front of the Guidance Office.

    Clubs

    Hey Snowballers! Applications for the Fall 2019 Teen Staff are available in the Attendance Office. If you are interested in applying to be a member of the Teen Staff for Fall Snowball in November, be sure to pick up an application today. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Dunne.

    The final Geography Club field trip of the school year will be to Chicago’s famous Chinatown neighborhood on Sunday, May 19. Permission slips will be available in Mr. Landreth’s room next week.

    Athletics

    Westmont defeated rival Lisle in varsity baseball by the score of 1-0 Monday in 12 Innings. Westmont improved its record to 19-9 overall. Shawn Kwasny and Caden Anderson combined for 17 strikeouts on the mound and a shutout. Jason Eiermann scored the game-winning run and Matt O'Leary had the game-winning RBI for the Sentinels. 

    Cheerleading tryouts for next year will be May 14th 5:30-7: 00 pm and May 16th 6:00-8: 00 pm in the gym. Please wear gym (cheer) shoes and hair up. Do not forget a water bottle. Any questions, please contact Coach Meneses at lizmeneses@aol.com

    Congratulations to Mikayla Hickey and Gavin Carr who both placed 2nd in the Interstate Eight Conference pole vault competition last night earning All-Conference Honors!  Good luck to the rest of the track teams tonight competing at Manteno in their Conference meet. 

    Westmont defeated Elmhurst IC Catholic by the score of 4-1 yesterday to improve to 17-8 on the season. Joey Dobrovolny was the winning pitcher as he improved his pitching record to 6-0. Alex Marotta added 3 RBI. Troy Schlicher added an RBI and Riley Basit was on base 3 times.

    Thanks to all the students attending prom for signing up and paying on time.  Table reservations were made on Friday, if you have any questions or need to get your table number, please see Mrs. Dervin.  Your table number will be on your name place card when you arrive at prom on Saturday.

    Westmont varsity baseball beat Herscher 10-4. Westmont is now 16-8 on the season. Alex Marotta hit a Home Run. Shawn Kwasny was the winning pitcher. Troy Schlicher and Matt O’Leary had Triples!

    Last week the FS track teams had their Interstate 8 Conference meet. The boys finished in 6th place, the girls finished in 4th place. Medalist for the Sentinel boys was: Matthew Torres 2nd place in the 2 miles. On the girls side, medalists were: the 2nd place 4 x 800 (Nora Schlacks, Mikayla Hickey, Evelyn Kostal, Kelly Koopman), Lizzy Szynal, 3rd place in the 2 mile and 2nd place in the mile; the 4 x 400 relay (Brianna Cook, Allyson Lambert, Mikayla Hickey, Megan Thompson), Celestia Kone, 3rd place high jump, and a special congratulations to Megan Thompson FS Conference Champion in the 400m. 

    On Friday, the girls Track and Field team finished 4th in the prestigious Chicago Christian Invitational.  Outstanding performances for the ladies were: Ashley Valtman finished in 3rd place in the 300m. hurdles, Celestia Kone finish in 3rd place in the 100 hurdles. Megan Thompson was meet champion in the 400m. dash.

    Congratulations to the Boys Track and Field team who absolutely dominated the big meet at Chicago Christian on Friday night. Among a huge host of PRs were outstanding performances by: Matthew Torres, 3rd in the 3200, Ishmay Kone, 3rd in high jump, 2nd in 110 hurdles; Kwentin Brookins, 3rd in long jump, Jaden West 2nd in long jump and high jump; Matt Gedraitis, 2nd in the 3200; the 4 x 1 relay (Isaac Lischalk, Tony Cole, Kwentin Brookins, Gavin Carr) finished 2nd; the 4 x 4 relay (Gavin Carr, Matt Gedraitis, Isaac Lischalk, Ishmay Kone) finished 2nd. Meet champions for the Sentinels were Jaden West in the 300 hurdles, Kwentin Brookins in the triple jump and the 4 x 200 relay team of Isaac Lischalk, Tony Cole, Kwentin Brookins and Ishmay Kone. Way to go men!

    Last day to purchase Prom tickets is TODAY- Friday, April 26 at 3 p.m. No tickets will be sold after this date and time.  Also, beginning on TODAY, you may reserve a table.  Each table seats 10.  All students that want to reserve a table must have purchased their ticket.  Seats will not be "held".

    If you do not reserve a table, Mrs. Dervin will assign you to a table. If you want to select songs for the prom playlist, see Mrs. Dervin for the Prom Google Classroom code.

    Senior and Juniors – You are invited to attend GRAD NITE Overnight Lock-In at Six Flags Great America Saturday, May 18th – Sunday, May 19th. The cost of the field trip including bus charter will be $51.00 per student. All completed form MUST BE RETURNED to Ms. Vera by TODAY - Friday, April 26th – NO EXCEPTIONS  can be made.     Westmont 2 Beecher 5. Westmont Varsity Baseball fell to 15-8 on the season Thursday night. Sam Abbatacola pitched amazing only allowing 1 Run in 5 2/3 Innings Pitched

     They are the busiest Goodwill in the Illinois suburbs and the 2nd busiest donation center. 

    They are also extremely flexible and understand that if they employ students, school is your 1st priority. They are very used to students with limited availability and don’t mind working with you. In fact, many students from Westmont have worked at Goodwill. If you are interested, you can visit the store or apply online at www.amazinggoodwillcareers.com

    WHS PROM 2019 - May 4, 2019

    All interested High School Juniors and Seniors are invited to attend our Westmont High School Prom on Saturday, May 4, from 6:30 p.m.-11:00 p.m., at the Doubletree by Hilton Lisle Naperville. You will be required to be present at prom no later than 7:15 and are required to stay at prom until 10:30 p.m. NO EXCEPTIONS 

    Ticket sales will be sold through Friday, April 26 during lunch periods.   There will be absolutely no tickets sold after Friday, April 26 at 3 p.m.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  The cost is $80 per person. (Cash or checks can be made payable to Westmont High School). 

    "Do Good with Burritos! Come out to Chipotle TODAY- TUESDAY April 23rd to support the Suburban Ag Club, help beautify the school, and INCREASE BIODIVERSITY! Come between the hours of 4-8 PM and show a flyer (and then recycle it)! Do good! The Earth Needs you!"

    Westmont defeated Plano by the score of 16-6 to improve to 14-6 on the season. Joey Dobrovolny improved his pitching record to 5-0. Nick Machacek had 4 RBI, Matt O'Leary had 3 RBI, Riley Basit added a Home Run, Caden Anderson had 3 Hits and Zak Fischer reached base times. 

    Westmont varsity baseball lost 6-10 to Reed Custer on Saturday. Matt O'Leary and Troy Schlicher each had 2 hits. Riley Basit and Zak Fisher each had 2 RBI. Shawn Kwasny pitched well striking out 10 batters.

    Westmont varsity baseball beat Chicago (Goode STEM Academy) 19-2 on Friday night. Sam Abbatacola and Matt O'Leary combined to pitch a No-Hitter. Matt O'Leary also became just the 17th player in Westmont history to reach 100 career hits. Riley Basit also added 4 Hits in the game
