Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Tom DeMay
Since January of 2009, I have been a member of the Westmont Staff community. Over the years, I have helped shape the school climate through a variety of activities: creating an Ultimate Frisbee club, coach of the Scholastic Bowl team, sophomore baseball coach and the Student Council sponsor for several years.
Starting with the 2013-14 school year, I have taken on the responsibility of full time teaching in the Social Studies department. I created and will be teaching a brand new class here at Westmont - Advanced Placement Government. Currently, I am also teaching World History, Chicago History and American Government.
Degrees & Qualifications:
After having graduated from Miami University (OH) in 2007, I pursued a Master's of Education degree, which I completed in 2012. The culmination of my program was an analysis of single-parent families, and the role of parent-child gender combination and the impact of income on student achievement. I earned "Graduate with Distinction" honors for my analysis.

Parents can stay up to date by visiting the class website. Most, if not all, class handouts are available at all times via a student's school Gmail account, in the "shared with me" section of their Google Drive account.
