General

The Westmont Scholastic Bowl team traveled to Bloomington-Normal to compete in the IHSA State Championship tournament on Friday, and boy did the team represent Westmont! The Sentinels came in with high expectations, after winning the toughest Sectional in the state, and the team started strong with a 360-230 victory over Williamsville, and then rolled Edwardsville 450-150. The Sentinels had one more match, and if the team won, would advance to the championship match. The team had a slow start, but eventually pulled out a come from behind victory against Mater Dei, 350-280, in order to make it to the finals! The Sentinels then faced University Lab of Urbana,  the team ranked 19th in the country. The Sentinels had a great match, but unfortunately fell 400-180.
