General

Morning Sentinels!   Flowers are sold out for this week.  If you would like to order your roses for next week, please see Mrs. Zorbas. 

Prom Tickets for "A Night Under The Stars" at The Carlisle are on sale in the commons during lunch today through Thursday, April 28th at 3:00 pm.   Prom Tickets are $85 per person.     Also, if your prom date does NOT go to Westmont High School, please pick up your Guest Form today from Mrs. Zorbas, Señorita Lott or in the front office.  The guest forms require multiple signatures from individuals in different locations.  So, it is best to start completing this important step now as prom is only 31 Days away!  

Sentinels, I know we have asked before...but, do you have any spare eyeglasses laying around the house? Why not donate them to Rotary Interacts gently used eyeglasses drive.  No case?  No worries.  Just put them in a sandwich bag and bring them on in to room 125.  We will take men’s, women’s, children’s eyeglasses that are prescription or even the cheaters you buy at the store.   Donations are accepted through Monday, May 2nd.  

Sentinels:  Would you like to leave your mark on Westmont High School? The Booster Club is selling personalized bricks.  Deadline to purchase these is April 7th. Please visit the Booster Club website or Facebook page to buy yours today

Clubs

The next Geography Club field trip is the Holy Thursday church tour Thursday, April 14. Spend the evening visiting various churches in the city of Chicago and end the night with a hot dog from Gene & Jude's! Space is limited on this field trip. Pick up your permission slip in Mr. Landreth's room. Permission slips are due back no later than this Friday, April 8th.

Rotary Interact is meeting this Wednesday morning before school at 7:40 am in room 125.   If you are not participating in a spring sport, or are looking to add a club that serves others, Rotary Interact is for you. New members are always welcome.       

Athletics

Congratulations to the Girls Track and Field team who finished in 2nd place last night in the Timothy Christian Quad.  First place finishers for the Sentinels were: the 4 x 1 relay (Camille Kuru, Nora Shlacks, Cate McDaniels, Cinaiya Huddleston), the 4 x 8 relay team (Lizzy Szynal, Jeniyah Hood, Annikah Engstrom, Mikayla Hickey), Cinaiya Huddleston in the 100, Mikayla Hickey in the 300 hurdles, Ava Gustafson in the discus, Camille Kuru in the long jump and Annikah Engstrom tied for 1st in the High Jump.  The girls team competes again tomorrow night in the Seneca Girls First Invitational. 

 

Congratulations to the Boys Track and Field team who came home champions winning the Timothy Christian Quad last night. First place finishes for the Sentinels were: Quentin Jarlson in the 2 mile, the 4 x 8 relay (Henry O'Connor, Kaleb Sica, John Naom, Tim Rosland), Michael Doll in the triple jump and 110 hurdles, Henry O'Connor in the 300 hurdles, Tim Rosland in the 1600, the 4 x 4 relay (James, Mendoza, Henry O'Connor, Michael Doll, Tim Rosland), and Gabriel Lischalk in the discus.  The boys compete on Saturday at the Lisle MegaMeet.
