The next Geography Club field trip is the Holy Thursday church tour Thursday, April 14. Spend the evening visiting various churches in the city of Chicago and end the night with a hot dog from Gene & Jude's! Space is limited on this field trip. Pick up your permission slip in Mr. Landreth's room. Permission slips are due back no later than today Friday, April 8th.

Rotary Interact is meeting this Wednesday morning before school at 7:40 am in room 125.   If you are not participating in a spring sport, or are looking to add a club that serves others, Rotary Interact is for you. New members are always welcome.

Athletics

Westmont 7 Newark 4. Westmont varsity improves to 2-6 on the season. Caleb Kleinz pitched awesome. Compete Game, 4 Runs, 8 K's. James Postawa added 2 Hits including a Triple and a walk. He also scored 3 Runs. Lucas Hicks scored 2 Runs. Jason Czaplewski had 3 RBI and Caleb Kleinz added 2 RBI! Big win over the team who finished 3rd place in 1A State last year. Also wanna give a big shout out to my JV Coach Brett Urlaub who got his first career coaching W for our JV team yesterday.

JV baseball pull off their first victory 12-8 over Newark. 39 degree weather didn’t keep us from getting base runners and stealing bases. A total of 9 stolen bases, four of which came from Lucas Fears. Both Lucas and Mission Hatchell stole home! Nathan Nelson added his first hit, Luke Kaester put the ball in play and got on base twice, and Mission landed the win on the mound. Way to keep fighting. --
