If any of you have copies of your old AMSCO APUSH or Modern World History books, and you would be ok with donating them to Mr. K, he would be eternally grateful. Please check your lockers or closets and if you don’t want or need those AMSCO books please drop them off to Mr. K’s room or the office. Thank you."
We are getting ready to announce the title of the fall play and are looking for actors and stage crew! Auditions for actors will take place on Wednesday, September 7 after school. Interested actors and stage crew should join the Google classroom. The join code is: eigx35d

Clubs –
Yearbook Club will hold its first meeting on Thursday, September 15 right after school in the art room. See Mrs. Mahmoud or Ms. Jacobs with questions.
Would you like to hang out, design & build robots, fly drones, learn to code, explore virtual worlds, or challenge the Akenator? Join us for some treats on Tuesday at 7:30 am in the media center to learn more about this year's STEAM club! Look for flyers around school for directions on how to sign up. Walk ins are always welcome. See Mrs. Torrise or Mrs. Schillinger for more information.
Sentinels, did you miss the Geography Club informational meeting? No problem. Talk to Mr. Landreth or Mr. Dunne and get all the information you need about the Club, and pick up a membership form.
The first Geography Club field trip of the year will be on Sunday, September 11th, to visit Chicago's world-famous Lincoln Park Zoo - one of the oldest zoos in America - and one of the very few zoos with FREE ADMISSION! Permission slips are available in Mr. Landreth's room and must be turned in by Thursday, September 8.
Athletics –
Only 141 days until Track and Field. If you are interested in joining the team, make sure you see Coach Philgren or Kappy to get added to the Google Classroom.
Congratulations to the Sentinel Football team who defeated Walther Christian on Friday night 18 - 13. Darius Stevenson led the team with159 yards to score 2 of the team's touchdowns. Lucas Fears added the 3rd. The team plays DuSable High School at home on Friday night. Come out and join the fun.
Congratulations to Coach Montre who finished in 47th place out of 1939 participants in the Chicago Triathlon this past weekend. Way to go Coach!
Hey Sentinels: How would you like the opportunity to be a Ball Boy for the upcoming Chicago Bulls season? We are looking for someone reliable who can get to the United Center on their own.
