December 18, 2020

Dear CUSD 201 Families,

Thank you for your continued support of CUSD 201. We have made it through the first semester, and a vaccine is on the horizon. The DuPage County Public Health Department estimates that educators will begin receiving the vaccine in March or April.

Thank you to our teachers, staff, and administrators for their collective efforts to provide the best education possible during a challenging time.

The DuPage County Health Department posted the DCHD School Metrics for Week 49. There are four metrics at a substantial level and those metrics are increasing. The immediate area’s seven-day positivity rate is Westmont -7.14%, Hinsdale - 5.14%, Downers Grove - 7.14%, and Clarendon Hills - 9.25%.

The new semester begins January 4, 2021, and the District will begin with remote learning. The plan is to transition to hybrid learning on January 19. We all know the importance of in-person learning, and during the Winter Break, the District will be reviewing the metrics we use to decide when in-person learning is appropriate. Our goal will be to have as many students in-person for as many days as safely possible. Calendar for November 16 through January 19

If you have not done so,  please take a few moments to complete the strategic plan survey using one of the following links: Strategic Plan Survey (English Version) or Strategic Plan Survey (Spanish Version). The information from the survey will inform the strategic planning process. When completing the survey, please use a pre-COVID-19 lens.

Please read the entire communication for additional updates.

Hybrid Learning-Suspended

The District is suspending hybrid learning until January 19, 2021.

Remote Learning

Remote learning is continuing the week of January 4, 2020. Schools will have small groups attend on Tuesday and Thursday. Please use this link to view the plan.
