Dear CUSD 201 Families,
As shared at last night’s School Board meeting, beginning Tuesday, January 19th, the District will transition to hybrid learning for those families who chose this option. Here is a link to a video that will explain how the District will decide when to be in hybrid. CUSD 201 Second Semester Criteria
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Illinois Department of Public Health have stipulated that for schools to have in-person learning, students and staff are required to wear masks. Our schools will require face masks and social distancing.
Please remember that this is a very fluid situation. The hope is that the District can continue in-person learning for the remainder of the year, but there is the possibility the District may need to pivot back to 100% remote learning. Parents need to have a Plan B ready. We will try to give as much notice as possible if the District needs to make a change.
Your child’s school will be providing additional information.
Hybrid Learning
The District has updated the Hybrid Learning Plan. Here is a link to the plan (CUSD 201 Hybrid Learning Plan). Also, each of the schools will be sending out additional information to school families. The district will update this document regularly. It is a good idea to revisit this document periodically, including the frequently asked questions.

Thank you for your continued support of CUSD 201. As the District prepares to resume the Hybrid model, the CUSD 201 nurses have provided a letter to parents reminding families of the protocols when the District has in-person learning. Estimadas familias de CUSD 201,
Cómo se compartió en la reunión de la Junta Escolar de anoche, a partir del martes 19 de enero, el Distrito hará la transición al aprendizaje híbrido para aquellas familias que eligieron esta opción. Aquí hay un enlace a un video que ayudará a explicar cómo el Distrito decidirá cuándo estar en híbrido usando los criterios del segundo semestre del distrito 201.
Los Centros para el Control y la Prevención de Enfermedades y el Departamento de Salud Pública de Illinois han estipulado que para que las escuelas tengan aprendizaje en persona, los estudiantes y el personal deben usar mascarillas.
