Dear CUSD 201 Families,

Thank you for your continued patience and support of CUSD 201 as together we navigate a pandemic. Our staff and administrators are committed to providing the best educational experience possible during these unusual times.

This past week, CUSD 201 resumed the Hybrid Model. The DCHD has DuPage county at a substantial level of transmission (DCHD School Metrics Week 1). As of January 21, the seven-day positivity rate for Westmont is 4.18%, Hinsdale is 5.04%, Downers Grove is 6.93%, and Clarendon Hills is 9.70%. The average positivity rate for our community is 6.46%. The low positivity rate in our community and the safety protocols we have in place will allow CUSD 201 to remain hybrid for the Week of January 25th.

If you send your child to school for in-person learning, please remember to self-certify your student in the morning. Anyone entering a school is required to wear a mask.

Vaccines may be available for school employees as early as the week of January 25th. Please keep in mind that close to 300,000 people are in group Tier 1B who are eligible for the vaccine. The DCHD will administer the vaccine as quickly as possible, but it may be 12 weeks before all school employees are vaccinated.

Please read the entire communication for additional updates.

Hybrid Learning
The District has updated the Hybrid Learning Plan. Here is a link to the plan (CUSD 201 Hybrid Learning Plan). Also, each of the schools will be sending out additional information to school families. The District will update this document regularly. It is a good idea to revisit this document periodically, including the frequently asked questions.

Remote Learning
Please use this link to view the plan.

MEAL DISTRIBUTION FOR THE WEEK OF January 25, 2021

Meal pick-up is on Monday, January 25, 2021, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Westmont Junior High.

Meals are available free of charge to CUSD 201 families for children 18 and younger.

The District will provide seven days’ worth of breakfast and lunch to parents.   Please use the drive off Oakwood in front of the Junior High School.  You do not need to exit your car, and the staff will bring the food to you.  If you are unable to come to the Junior High at the designated time, please call 630-468-8121.

Please continue to do your part to slow the spread of the virus. Wear masks in public, wash your hands, and practice social distancing. The more we do, the better are the chances we will be able to remain in hybrid.

Take care,

Kevin Carey
