April 9, 2021
Dear CUSD 201 Families,
CUSD 201 will be in hybrid the week of April 13. By the end of next week, many of the CUSD 201 staff will receive their second dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. It will be an additional two weeks before the staff is fully vaccinated. The District is on target to resume full days of instruction the week of April 26.
The DCHD published the DCHD School Metrics Week 12 on Monday. As of April 8, the seven-day positivity rate for Westmont is 4.93%, Hinsdale is 4.40%, Downers Grove is 6.87%, and Clarendon Hills is 9.06%. The average positivity rate for our community is 6.32%.
The number of new cases of COVID-19 is increasing in our area as is the average positivity rate. Please continue to wear masks, social distance, and wash your hands.
Please read the entire communication for additional updates.
CUSD 201 will reurn to a full-day schedule for families who have opted for in-person learning. Students who attend in-person will be required to self-certify before arriving at school, wear masks, and maintain social distance. The schools will provide additional information about the school day and transportation.
The District will still provide a remote learning experience for families who want their child to remain remote.
The District has updated the Hybrid Learning Plan. Here is a link to the plan (CUSD 201 Hybrid Learning Plan). Also, each of the schools will be sending additional information to school families. The District will update this document regularly. It is a good idea to revisit this document periodically, including the frequently asked questions.
