Dear CUSD 201 School Families:
The CUSD 201 Board of Education will have a Special Board Meeting on August 3, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. at the Westmont Village Hall. The meeting will be live-streamed and recorded.
The purpose of the special board meeting is to continue the 2021-22 school opening discussion that the Board had at the July 20 Board Meeting.
Like other school districts throughout the state, the school district is reviewing the CDC, IDPH, and DCHD guidance carefully. The district is currently discussing the specific details for our return to school, such as mask requirements, contact tracing, and quarantine protocols.
The Board of Education is holding this Special Board Meeting because we are aware that parents need to know the specific details of our return to school plan in general, and masking requirements in specific, as soon as possible so that they can make any necessary plans for the start of the school year and in-person learning. The Board of Education intends to decide on the school opening plan, including masking requirements, at the August 3 Board Meeting.
As the Board of Education works through their decision-making process, please remember that the school district is committed to starting the school year with full-day in-person learning.
