April 16, 2021

CUSD 201 is finalizing plans to return to full-days of instruction the week of April 26. Schools will be sharing bus routes and other information next week. Please look for those communications from your child’s schools.

The DCHD published the DCHD School Metrics Week 13 on Monday.  As of April 15, the seven-day positivity rate for Westmont is 2.68%, Hinsdale is 6.64%, Downers Grove is 4.01%, and Clarendon Hills is 6.20%. The average positivity rate for our community is 4.87%.

The number of new cases of COVID-19 continues to increase in DuPage County. The seven-day average positivity rate continues to fluctuate. The number of new cases for people under the age of twenty is rising. As a school district, we are doing everything we can to ensure we do not have an outbreak. Please continue to do your part.

Please read the entire communication for additional updates.

April 26
CUSD 201 will return to a full-day schedule for families who have opted for in-person learning. Students who attend in-person will be required to self-certify before arriving at school, wear masks, and maintain social distance. The schools will provide additional information about the school day and transportation.

All students will have the option to order a free lunch at school when the District resumes full days. Menus will be posted on the website. Elementary students will make selections in their homeroom each day. The High School and Junior High will be sending information to families on how to order lunches.

The District will still provide a remote learning experience for families who want their child to remain remote.

Hybrid Learning

The District has updated the Hybrid Learning Plan. Here is a link to the plan (CUSD 201 Hybrid Learning Plan). Also, each of the schools will be sending additional information to school families. The District will update this document regularly. It is a good idea to revisit this document periodically, including the frequently asked questions.
