General –

Are you interested in being a part of Sentinel Buddies? Our Holiday Shopping with Buddies event is taking place on 12/12/22. You MUST be an active member of the club to participate, but membership is still open, so see Mrs. Philgren if you are interested in joining the club. 

If you are already a member and want to attend this trip, please pick up a permission slip from the hallway bulletin board near room 146 and return it to Mrs. Philgren NO LATER than December 6th. You MUST BE PASSING all of your classes and be in good standing at WHS to attend. See Mrs. Philgren with questions.

NHS and Ms. Lopez are running Toys for Tots in order to give back to the less fortunate this holiday season. Now until December 12th if you would like to donate a toy please drop it off at the bin in the main office. Those who donate will be entered into a weekly raffle for a prize. Any questions? Please see the flyers posted around school or Ms. Lopez, Isabella Esparza, Heiry Sierra, Denali Belmonte, or Hays Templeton.

Craving chocolate?   Buy your raffle tickets during lunch for the World's Finest Chocolate raffle.   The first prize is a gift box filled with all sorts of chocolate deliciousness!   The second and third prizes are a pound World's Finest milk chocolate candy bar!  Tickets are $1 for one, six for $5, or FIFTEEN tickets for $10.  The three winners will be drawn at our next assembly, Friday, December 9th.  

Wanting to go to prom, but don't want to foot the $100 bill?  See Mrs. Zorbas today to learn how to earn your free or half-priced ticket to prom!   Hurry, this is a limited offer as the chocolate is selling fast!  

Are you craving chocolate in a big, big way?  The Junior Class is raffling off three separate prizes this week.  Up for grabs is a World's Finest Chocolate Basket of deliciousness as well as two one-pound chocolate bars.  Three winners in all.   Stop by during your lunch, check out the prizes and buy some raffle tickets for this week's World's Finest Chocolate raffle! Tickets are $1 each or six tickets for $5 or 15 tickets for $10.  The winner will be announced at our assembly this Friday, December 9th.  All proceeds will help to offset prom costs.  

This is the last week for Rotary Interact´s Paws ´n Claws pet supplies drive.  Please donate to help shelter animals have a better holiday.   All new or gently used collars, leashes, toys, and towels will be accepted as well as new canned food, laundry detergent, and dishwasher soap.  Donations can be dropped off in room 125. Rotary Interact thank you in advance as every donation will help the Humane Society.  

Yearbook will meet next on Thursday, December 8 right after school in Ms. Jacobs' room for our Cover Art session with Josten's. Please see Ms. Jacobs or Mrs. Mahmoud if you cannot attend.

Clubs –

Sentinels, how does spending your first day of winter break visiting the Christkindl Market at Daley Plaza and shopping along State Street in downtown Chicago sound? The next Geography Club field trip will be on Thursday, December 22nd for our annual visit to Chicago's Christkindl Market and a chance to get some last-minute Christmas shopping done downtown. Join your friends as we kick off winter break and celebrate the holidays on this trip! Permission slips are available in Mr. Landreth's room. All permission slips must be turned in by FRIDAY, DECEMBER 16 in order to guarantee your spot. See Mr. Landreth or Mr. Dunne with any questions.

French Club will be hosting the Spanish Club at the upcoming St. Nicholas Day celebration on Tuesday, December 6th in room 123 at 7:30 am.  See Madame Ensalaco or Señorita Lott to sign up today! 

Athletics –

Our lady Sentinels Basketball team had a  win last night with a short-handed comeback. Down 20 at one point in the game, the team showed amazing resilience, played together, and trusted each other in the second half. Big win for the team. Final score 57-53! The top scorers were  Eva Papish 24 points, Payeton Pickens 15 points,  and Diellza Dalipi 10 points.
