College and Career

One of the primary goals of our Westmont High School Counseling Department is to prepare students for life after high school. About 90% of our students are college-bound, with some students attending 2-year institutions and some attending 4-year institutions. Our other students plan to enter the workforce or enlist in the United States Military.

We work with students on post-secondary planning through individual appointments, group lessons, and special large group events such as our annual College Information and Financial Aid Night. Westmont High School also utilizes Maia Learning, an interactive platform that helps students search for careers, colleges, and send electronic documents. The Counseling Department works with students in Maia Learning during their freshman through senior years. Students will be provided with Maia Learning access information during the second semester of their freshman year. After this initial introduction, students will have full online access to Maia Learning until they graduate from Westmont High School.
