General

Sentinels:  Would you like to hone your leadership skills?  The IHSA will be hosting a Student Leadership Conference on November 13.   Westmont can send up to 8 students to attend this wonderful opportunity. If you are interested, let Kappy know before October 15. 

If you are interested in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and the Day of the Dead, then join the World Language Department on a Field Trip to the Mexican Fine Arts Museum and to Nuevo Leon for Lunch on Saturday, October 7th, Please see Ms. Gomez or Ms. Lott for a permission slip. Permission slips and $28 are due by Wednesday.

SENIORS: Just a  reminder that Lifetouch will be here for the last time for senior photos on TODAY-Thursday, 10/5 from 10 am-1 pm in the auditorium -no appointment necessary. Please make sure to see them for this last possible opportunity to have a senior photo taken. Please see the Class of 2024 classroom for more information. 

There will be a table set up in the Commons with all the Lost and Found items. Please take a look and see if you find your long-lost item. The table will be taken down this Friday.

Clubs 

Westmont has a new club for any students of Latin heritage and anyone who wishes to know more about Latin culture.  It's called La Casa and our meetings will be on Mondays after school in Mr. Landreth.  Please see Mr. Landreth for more information.

The next Geography Club field trip will be on Sunday, October 15 to attend the Open House Chicago event. This annual event allows us to explore dozens of sites throughout downtown Chicago that are not normally open to the public. Permission slips are available in Mr. Landreth's room and are due by Thursday, October 12. See Mr. Landreth or Mr. Dunne with any questions.

Athletics

Sentinels:  The Volleyball team is sponsoring their annual Volley for a Cure on October 5. There will be raffles, a bake sale, t-shirt sales and more.  All proceeds will be donated to the Open Arms in Hinsdale.   Want to make a donation - scan the QR code on the team's posters.

Attention all winter sports athletes: Before you can begin your season, you must have an Okay to Play card - you must have a current physical on file, and 8to18 registration must be completed. See Kappy or Coach Dunne for your Okay to Play card.

The IHSA is celebrating National High School Activities Month throughout October.  Sentinels:  This week the IHSA is asking that you post video shoutouts for your favorite officials, coaches, and advisors. Please make sure you include the #HSActivitiesMonth when posting and tag the IHSA @IHSA_IL.
