On Tuesday night, the Westmont Scholastic Bowl team traveled to St. Eds looking to keep the team's winning streak alive. In the first match, the Sentinels jumped out to an early lead thanks to Riyah Varghese's tossups and never looked back. Captain Luke Kaestner and Junior Zoe Abington paced the team to a 225-110 lead at the half, and Freshman Mateo Cabral dominated the second half, answering 6 out of 12 tossups, leading the team to a 445-290 win. In the second match, the Sentinels had a commanding lead 300-80 point lead at the half, led by Luke, Zoe, and Mateo. In the second half, Riyah and Faisal Abulaila helped coast to a 400-260 win. The Sentinels are now 6-2 and are on a 6-game winning streak.
Last night, the Sentinel Girls Varsity basketball team took on Hinckley Big Rock and played together with a heart for the entire game and brought home a well-earned 58-39 victory! Four Sentinels - Danielle Hoover Eva Papish, Payeton Pickens, and Dasha Savchuk scored double digits. Way to go team!
