"THIS Friday Night is the Westmont High School Talent Show! Come out to see Mr. Palmer shred on the guitar, Mr. Chamberland yodel his heart out, and many other teachers and students showcasing their amazing talents. This Friday night, December 15th, at 7:00pm in the auditorium. Entry is $5. See you there!" 

Sentinels, how does celebrating the start of winter break by visiting the Christkindl Market at Daley Plaza and shopping along State Street sound? The next Geography Club trip will be on Friday, December 22nd, for our annual visit to Chicago's Christkindl Market and a chance to get some last-minute holiday shopping done downtown. Join your friends as we kick off winter break and celebrate the holidays on this trip! Permission slips are available in Mr. Landreth's room. All permission slips must be turned in by FRIDAY, DECEMBER 15 to guarantee a spot on this field trip. See Mr. Landreth or Mr. Dunne with any questions.

Any Sentinel student that is interested in traveling to Japan over Spring Break 2025 with Geography Club should talk to Mr. Landreth or Mr. Dunne for more information. Interested travelers can also check the Geography Club Google Classroom for additional information.

Clubs

Calling all Spanish and French Club members to our next after school meeting this Thursday, December 14th.   When you sign up with your teacher, please let us know what you plan to bring for our Dessert Bar meeting.  Madame and Señorita will see you Thursday after school!   

Get ready for a taste of paradise with CAPAOW’s upcoming fundraising field trip to Island Fin Poke in Downers Grove this Wednesday, December 13th! Indulge in delicious poke bowls and dole whip. Don't miss out on this great opportunity to eat great food and support CAPAOW! Please pick up permission slips from the Media Center if you want to take the mini bus.

Athletics

The Sentinel wrestling team competed in the 17-team Walther Christian Invitational and finished 11th place in the team standings. Four Sentinels placed: Christian Rosa was 5th, Joe Salerno and Mission Hatchell finished 4th, and Rafael Castrejon-Tello placed 1st! Awesome job, Sentinels!

 There are just 36 days left until Track and Field 2024 begins!! Any Sentinels interested in joining the World's Greatest Track and Field team should speak to Coach Dunne or Coach Philgren.

The boys varsity basketball team improves their overall record to 8-1 with wins over Ridgewood and IMSA this past weekend. Balanced scoring, good rebounding, and solid team defense continue to be the key to their success. The next home game is Tuesday night verse Chesterton Academy.
