Clubs
Yearbook Club will meet Thursday, 1/25, after school in room 110. See Mrs. Mahmoud or Mrs. Jacobs if you cannot attend.
The next Geography Club field trip will be on Sunday, January 28th! Spend the morning ice skating at Millennium Park, have lunch with your friends along Michigan Avenue, then enjoy an afternoon exploring Chicago's world-famous Art Institute. Permission slips are available in Mr. Landreth's room and must be turned in by today. See Mr. Landreth or Mr. Dunne with any questions.
Acting Out! will meet today from 3-4 pm in the auditorium. We look forward to seeing you then!
Athletics
The girls basketball team took on Ridgewood in a conference rematch on Friday night and both levels picked up wins: the JV team won 21-19. The varsity team celebrated Senior Night with a 57-48 win as Eva led all scorers with 30 points on her senior night and the entire team worked hard to secure the win. Congratulations girls!
The Sentinels will play Riverside-Brookfield at HOME tonight in another conference matchup. Come out and support your Sentinels tonight!
The boys varsity basketball split their games this weekend. The team lost to Ridgewood Friday night 51 to 43. They bounced back on Saturday morning with a 67 to 45 victory over Walther Christian.
A special congratulations goes out to Joe Kone for scoring his 1000 point on Saturday! He is only the 10th player in school history to reach this milestone.
Attention all football players interested in playing next season: There will be a football meeting after school on Wednesday, January 24 at 2:30 pm in the Health Room (room 165). Please plan to attend this meeting.
Hey Sentinels: The 2024 Track and Field season has begun! Are you interested in joining the World's Greatest Track and Field team this spring? We meet by the concession stand for practice on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday right after school. See Coach Dunne or Coach Philgren with any questions.
