General

From Thursday, 2/8, through Monday, 2/12, please join NHS members Becky, Evelyn, and Kaila during lunch to create Valentine's for Senior Citizens. A table will be set up during both lunch periods, with all materials to create colorful and thoughtful cards. Please help our local senior citizens feel loved by participating in our fun NHS service project.

Clubs

If you are interested in auditioning for Honors Madrigal Choir, please schedule your audition with Mr. Urlaub as soon as you can. 

The African American Cultural Club and AP African American Studies class kicked off Black History Month yesterday with a field trip to the DuSable Museum, we had over 30 students on the trip.  We want to thank all the students on the trip for being respectful and responsible the entire trip and we hope to provide more opportunities for learning. Be on the lookout for more activities this month as we celebrate the contributions of African Americans.

Athletics

The boys varsity basketball team lost 55-47 on Friday to 4A powerhouse Riverside Brookfield.  Abe Johnson led the team with 16 points.  Billy McGhie added 11 points and 8 rebounds.

The Sentinel tracksters kicked off their season with two meets last week: First at Naperville Central Pole Vault Meet on Thursday - congratulations to Wiktoria Dubiel who cleared 6' to tie for 23rd in a huge field of vaulters and Michael Aho who pole vaulted for the first time ever in this meet! Then on Saturday it was the girls team at Hinsdale South, with great performances to begin their competition schedule. Special congratulations to Kyla Babb who broke two indoor school records in the 800 meter run and 1600 meter run!

 

Huge congratulations to the Sentinel wrestling team on an awesome performance at the De La Salle Regional on Saturday! Six Sentinels qualified for the Sectional round next weekend: Tyerre Freeman, Joe Salerno, Rafa Castrejon-Tello, Vincent Willkommen, Laneal Conley and Christian Rosa all qualified! Special congratulations to Christian Rosa who was Regional Champion.
