Calling All CUSD201 Students!
Don't miss this year's STEM Night to be held NEXT Wednesday, February 28th, at Westmont High School between 6:00 - 8:00 pm. The evening will start promptly at 6:00 pm in the auditorium with a special introduction from our very own CUSD201 alum Molly Johnson who will share her experience as a mission operator for a lunar satellite and her internship at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Next, travel around the commons and learn about the World of STEM as you visit your choice of over 21 "hands-on" stations that focus on science, technology, engineering and math topics. Receive four stamps on your "passport" and you will earn a chance to win a prize from our raffle table.

SENIORS! It is time to start planning for the end of the year. Senior Breakfast tickets are on sale for $35 until March 22. We need to sell 55 tickets by then or the event will not take place and refunds will be issued. Look for information in your senior English classes and see Mrs. Mahmoud to purchase a ticket.

Clubs
Attention Geography Club members: Tomorrow's field trip to Carnivale at Navy Pier is canceled. Sorry for any inconvenience. Keep checking the Google Classroom for more information on upcoming field trips.
Attention Sentinel Buddies: All Sweatshirt orders are due to Mrs. Philgren no later than Tuesday, 2/27. If you are interested in buying one and need an order form, please see Mrs. Philgren in 146B or pick up an order form in the hallway outside her classroom.
Athletics
ATTENTION ALL SPRING SPORTS ATHLETES: Spring Sports officially begin on Monday! Before you can begin practice, you must have an Okay to Play card from Coach Dunne. To get your Okay to Play card, you need a current physical on file as well as the completed 8to18 registration for your spring sport. See Coach Dunne today with any questions.
Coach Wenkman will be supervising the weight room on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00-4:00 for the remainder of the school year. All athletes, out of season, are welcome to join."
Attention Tracksters: Outdoor season starts on Monday 2/26 and will start practices daily! We are looking forward to welcoming new participants as some of you just finished up your winter sports! Please be sure to bring sweats and water bottles every day (we will go outside as weather permits) and meet by the concession stands near the gym at 3 pm. See Coach Dunne or Coach Philgren with questions!
Last night, our Girls Track Team competed in their second indoor meet of the season. All competitors began this year with impressive starts and here is a list of our top 10 finishers:
· Kyla B finished her 1600meter in first place with a seasonal PR with a time of 5.25
· The 4x400 relay of Kyla, Olivia, Wiktoria, and Annikah finished in 4th place
· The 4x160 relay of Wiktoria, Kendall, Emma, and Annikay finished in 5th place
· Annikah also finished 8th overall in the 300meter run
· In the 55-meter hurdles, Olivia finished with an impressive 4th place and Riley followed closely with a 7th place finish
· Riley also placed 4th in triple jump and Kendall placed 10th in long lump
All competitors began this year with impressive starts and we are looking forward to outdoor season starting on Monday when more runners join our team to help us have a spectacular season.
