General

Don't forget to purchase your 2024 yearbook ASAP. Limited quantities are available for $53 cash or check to WHS. See Mrs. Mahmoud or the front office to order. Don't miss out on your chance to secure your book!

Yearbook Club will meet this Thursday, April 11 right after school in room 110. See Mrs. Mahmoud or Ms. Jacobs if you cannot attend.

Acting Out! today after school from 3-4:30 pm in the auditorium. Please see Mrs. Mahmoud or Mr. Bautista if you cannot attend.

Senior Breakfast is a go! If you would still like to purchase a ticket, you may do so by Friday, April 12. Find information in The Class of 2024 classroom and see Mrs. Mahmoud to purchase a ticket.

Alright, Sentinels.  April is Attendance Month at Westmont High School.  We will be having weekly raffles throughout April.  Students will receive one ticket for every day that they are present during 2nd period.  Write your name on the ticket and drop it off during lunch periods in the prize bag of your choice.  Drawings will be on Fridays.  The more you attend, the more chances you have to win!!!  Good luck!!!!

Attention Juniors and Seniors, Prom is on May 11th at Pinstripes in Oakbrook. Tickets will go on sale ONLINE on April 1st. You will be able to purchase your ticket the entire month of April. As a reminder, please pick up guest forms from the front office if you plan on bringing an out-of-district guest! See Mrs. Ramirez or Mrs. Zorbas if you have any questions! 

Juniors and Seniors: The overnight Great America tip is scheduled for May 18 from 8:30 pm to 3:00 am. Please pick up your permission slips in the front office. $79 check to WHS or cash and permission slip are due to the front office by Friday, April 19. There are a limited number of tickets available, so don't miss out!

Clubs

The Willowbrook GSA, together with the York and Addison Trail As.Is Clubs, are hosting an LGBTQ+ Night of Noise celebration on Friday, April 12th, 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm at Willowbrook High School. 

Activities will include games, a photo booth, music, and refreshments! 

There is no cost to attend--and it's not too late to join in!

If you have any questions or would like to attend with the Westmont Alliance Club, Please see Mrs. Jacobs by Tuesday. 4/9. 

Hey Sentinels: How would you like to spend Spring Break 2025 traveling in JAPAN with Geography Club? That's right - just over a year from now, you could be visiting Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Osaka and more in this fascinating country! There is still plenty of time to sign up -- see Mr. Landreth or Mr. Dunne for more details on this trip and information on how to sign up!

Athletics

The track and field team hosted an invitational meet on sun-filled Saturday and had many outstanding performances. Both teams finished in 5th place.

Top finishers for the girls team were:

5th place - 4x100 relay of Stella Salvato-Francese, Sadie Scales, Emma Silva and Annikah Engstrom

4th place - Wiktoria Dubiel in pole vault and Sadie Scales in shot put

3rd place - 4x400 relay of Kyla Babb, Daylah Belmonte, Stella Salvato-Francese and Annikah Engstrom

2nd place - Daylah Belmonte in high jump

Kyla Babb was meet champion in the 3200 run!

Top finishers for the boys team were:

4th place - Paul Lalonde in the 3200, Charlie Cossairt in shot put, the 4x100 relay of Kaleb Sica, Malachi Boatright, Joe Kone and Abe Johnson, and the 4x200 relay of Jacob Sleeper, Charlie Steketee, Billy McGhie and Kaleb Sica

3rd place - Joe Kone in long jump and Taj Lewis in shot put

2nd place - Abe Johnson in long jump, Michael Aho in pole vault, and the 4x400 relay of Quentin Jarlson, Paul Lalonde, Kaleb Sica and Michael Aho

Meet champions were Billy McGhie in high jump and Abe Johnson in triple jump!

Good luck to the Sentinels as they compete at Seneca on Tuesday and Friday this week!

 

Westmont defeated St.Anne 7-0 and 7-0 in a double header on Saturday. Varsity Baseball improves to 6-2 on the season
