pen.

Don't forget to purchase your 2024 yearbook ASAP. Limited quantities are available for $53 cash or check to WHS. See Mrs. Mahmoud or the front office to order. Don't miss out on your chance to secure your book!

Alright, Sentinels.  April is Attendance Month at Westmont High School.  We will be having weekly raffles throughout April.  Students will receive one ticket for every day that they are present during 2nd period.  Write your name on the ticket and drop it off during lunch periods in the prize bag of your choice.  Drawings will be on Fridays.  The more you attend, the more chances you have to win!!!  Good luck!!!!

Attention Juniors and Seniors, Prom is on May 11th at Pinstripes in Oakbrook. Tickets will go on sale ONLINE on April 1st. You will be able to purchase your ticket the entire month of April. As a reminder, please pick up guest forms from the front office if you plan on bringing an out-of-district guest! See Mrs. Ramirez or Mrs. Zorbas if you have any questions! 

Prom tickets are live on the WHS prom site. We will have TWO in person days to purchase tickets, on Thursday 4/25 & Friday 4/26. Tickets can only be purchased in person with cash or check only. 

Clubs

Join CAPAOW! Friday, April 26 as we visit Bolingbrook High School's 2nd annual Night Market. The mini-bus will leave at 5:30 pm and we'll be back at 9:30 pm. It's free admission, but bring cash to support their student businesses. Hello Boba will have their food truck there as well. It will be a night of food, games, dance, and Karaoke. Permission slips are available in the Media Center. Mini-bus slots are limited, so get your permission slip in quickly to join CAPAOW for Night Market!

Hey Sentinels: How would you like to spend Spring Break 2025 traveling in JAPAN with Geography Club? That's right - just over a year from now, you could be visiting Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Osaka and more in this fascinating country! There is still plenty of time to sign up -- see Mr. Landreth or Mr. Dunne for more details on this trip and information on how to sign up!

Athletics

Congratulations to the Track and Field teams on an outstanding performance on Friday night at the Elmwood Park Tiger Classic! The Sentinels brought home lots of medals and the boys team earned a second place trophy and the girls team finished in fifth place.

 

Meet champions for the boys were:

·  Paul Lalonde in the 3200 and 1600 run

·  Abe Johnson in the high jump and triple jump

The boys team also captured a bunch of second place finishes: Malachi Boatright in the 110 hurdles, Laneal Conley in the 300 hurdles, Billy McGhie in high jump, and all four relay teams: The Varsity 4x800 and 4x400 relays and the JV 4x100 and 4x200 relays!

Meet champions for the girls were:

·  Sadie Scales in the JV shot put and discus

·  Emma Silva in the varsity high jump

·  Daylah Belmonte in the JV high jump

·  Wiktoria Dubiel in the varsity pole vault

·  Stella Salvato-Francese in the JV pole vault

·  The 4x400 relay of Olivia Lindstrom, Kyla Babb, Wiktoria Dubiel and Annikah Engstrom

The girls team also picked up two additional second place finishes: Kyla Babb in the 800 and the 4x800 relay of Stella Salvato-Francese, Daylah Belmonte, Annikah Engstrom and Kyla Babb.

Westmont Varsity Baseball 3 Elmhurst (IC Catholic) 4. Westmont falls to 10-6-1 on the season. Rocco Damato and Ricky Yenkin had 2 Hits each. Jerry Vasek also added a Double and a Walk. Andy Pecard had a Sacrifice, Single and a Walk
