National Honor Society Inducts New Members

NHS

On Wednesday, April 27th, The James T. Manning chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 46 new members.  They join the 54 current members, making our club 100 members strong.  29 of those members are graduating seniors, so next year we will have 79 active members. NHS membership is based not only on GPA; applicants must provide the Faculty Council with evidence of Scholarship, Service, Leadership and Character, the Four Pillars of NHS.  During the 2022-23 school year each of our members will then complete at least 20 hours of service, both in school and in the community, and a Service Project. NHS at WHS is a service organization, and we are proud of the many ways we find to make a difference, from charity Volleyball and Basketball tournaments and concerts to clothing and cleaning supply drives.  This past year, we raised almost $7000. Westmont High School is incredibly proud of all of these students.
