On 12/13, @whs_capaow traveled to the ONLY @islandfinpokeco in the entire Great Lakes region in Downers Grove. Nini, who is the restaurant's Asian American and woman franchise owner and operator, hosted the club as a fundraiser and introduction to her business. CAPAOW is working with Island Fin Poke to be the upcoming ASCEND Conference (SAT 03/02) caterer for lunch! She also will be telling her story as an Asian American Woman entrepreneur as an ASCEND Conference workshop to inspire the next generation of young people to dream big! As a gift, she and one of her employees (a #cusd201whs student) made bracelets as gifts for the students. They read: Aloha = a Greeting and Ohana = Family.
