A History of Achievement

 

Community Unit School District 201 is one of the most special and unique districts in the region. Our students benefit from the individual attention, personal relationships, and community connections only possible in small, community-based school districts while gaining access to the consistent instruction and increased opportunities only possible in unit districts.

As a result, our schools outperform most schools in the state and have earned among the highest ratings. Westmont High School, WJHS and Manning Elementary have all been  designated as Exemplary on the 2024 Illinois School Report Card. Our high school has won the DuFour Award as best Professional Learning Community in the United States. In addition, Westmont High School was awarded the Blue Ribbon, which is given to schools with an unwavering commitment to helping students achieve at high levels.

Other achievements include:

  • An A+ rating from Niche for CUSD 201
  • A 10/10 rating from GreatSchools.org for WHS
  • 2024 AP School Honor Roll - Platinum
  • #1 High School in Illinois in 5Essentials Survey by University of Chicago

These outstanding accomplishments are a direct reflection of the hard work and support from our faculty and staff, our students, our parents and caregivers, and the entire CUSD 201 community.
